Taking a pole: how many of you would be interested in a live stream from one of the races? stream live video from a go pro to the internet, watch the race in real time.

I will be looking into this further as long as there is enough interest. No interest, no stream.

I don't know if you guys are interested on updates from the team?
If so, I will post them up.

I will post video and race report after the race usually 24-48 after the race. the video will take about 72-96 hours after the race.

Update:

This past weekend we took off the 4wd axle of the the truck (we have to now take it in to MOAB offroad to get it fixed). We then, placed the 2wd set up on the truck and set it in. We are mostly done except for a little maintenance that needs to be done -oil change, bushings replacement, and finish making the truck light.

here is a pic of the setup before the conversion...well still the same now that's it is back on the truck.

oh and this is what happens when I dont listen to change the truck to 4wd. My first race in badlands in 2wd- didn't go so well

Thank you for the help.

I have talked with the team and we will attending this event. We will be converting our truck from 4wd to our 2wd set up as it is built for this kind of racing. We will be there only for the 15 of sept and hope to put on a good show. Looks like we may also try to bring a big group with us to spectate for this event.

We do have a question about a fellow team member:

can a jeep wrangler also enter in the 7 class? If not he has an explorer he can enter.
He is fully caged on both vehicles and has all his components in place. this will bring 2 trucks for our class and would only need 1 more for the race. Sorry for all the questions we just decided that this would be for our friends and family to watch and see us in action. Thank you for having a venue where we can race and show our friends and family our trucks.

Yes the September Race at Marengo IN is still on. The race director is still working on a flyer and schedule for the race. The race will be two days of short course. Normally it is 3 heats of 10 laps.

About getting your truck teched, We tech the cars/trucks the day of the race. If you race both days you will need to have it teched each day. What happens is you will see the MAORA trailer when tech opens you will fill out a race form. The cost is $75 a race. Once your form is filled out someone will tech it and place a sticker on it stating that it passed. Also to race with MAORA you need to become a member. The cost of memberships is $85 for the year or $45 for a one day membership. All these forms can be filled out the day of the race. What a lot of people do is they will pay the one day membership on Saturday and then if their car/truck is still running for Sunday they will pay the balance of the membership on sunday.

You can have a co driver if you like.

Yes the course is spectator friendly. You will want to bring chairs. Please invite your friends and family. There will be a fee for soectators.

Yes we have classes for all trucks. To make class you need 3 trucks to show up. If for some reason you don't make class you can still race to get seat time.

I hope I was able to answer your questions. As soon as we get any info on the September race it will be posted here on the chat form, on the front page of the web site and also on our facebook page. The link for the facebook page is below.

Devil Dog Racing ?

Post by ctec4rxj on Sun Sep 02, 2012 11:09 pm

I had a couple questions and also wanted to get a feeler on the race for Sept.

Is the race still on? haven't seen anything posted on it. just want to make sure before i show up.

Do I need to get truck tech before the race or do i have to take it somewhere to get it before the race date

is it a driver or can a co driver be in the car?

is the entry fee payed on the day of the race or paid before the race.

Is the course spectator friendly? I want to invite friends and family.

I had talk to someone and said that i would be placed in the 7 class . I'm thinking of converting the truck to 2wd for this race. It not a big task just a few bolts and done. would there be a class for my truck for this race?

Enough of the question.

little about us

We are a small team that is literally composed of family and friends and I live in fort knox (wife is in army). We love to race and have tried to work out our schedule earlier this year to make a race but it just did not work out. We now have an opportunity to race with you guys and would love to. We are not looking to win but just get some experience. As we look to our 2013 season I would like incorporate more of your series into our schedule.

If you want to know more about our team our website is Devildogracing.net we also can be found on Facebook.com/Devildogracing

Thanks and hope to see you guys racing
