Re: TRUCK GUYS

Post by gochenour322 on Tue Jul 21, 2009 1:31 pm

I really don't care what the rules are. I just wish they were easy to find, understand, and enforce. we like racing with Maora and will find a class that our truck is legal.

although we did not race sat. ( @#$%^ ) we had a great time watching. and IMO the racing was tight the track was fast.no the track was not 2 miles long , but not everytrack can be a daytona, we need bristol's to. we just need more racers, more fans, = more fun.

thanks to everyone who had a hand in putting on this event. IMO it moved along really well and the fire dept kept the track well watered. [b]great job

ya there is alot of differance between 7e and 700 after getting my first 7e run this weekend i can tell you there is alot of things different like fliping shackles alot of suspention mods steering quickners and the list goes on but as for taking 7e back to stock isnt that what 7x was and you seen how well that went over ya it was a true stock class but no one even has came out to run it but i guess type up your rule changes and bring them to a meeting and everyone can vote on them that is how it is done nothing will happen if you do it here cant vote on chat board everyone is entitled to there opinions and thoughts and that is what this is but i also want to know are you going to grandfather all the 7e trucks that run now or do they have to change there trucks completly too oh ya thanks neeley racing for that fun and exciting ride cant wait to race with you guys soon going to pull the trans out of mine this weekend and send it back to the shop hope they can figure out what is wrong with it this time

The 700 rules are fine. 7e needs to go back to stock stock stock!!!!! 7s is for those who want to run more optional equipment like big engines, coil over shocks, and so on. Well if it was it didn't do much good!!! Great JOB DAVE!!!! One last note the officers would like to extend our thoughts to the Walker Race team and family for their loss this weekend.

my rule book says e has to be under 150 psi compresion and run a smaller cam and carb. I have never seen a compresion check at tech. Do I have a out dated rule book ? maybe I don't know the rules !! Because 150 psi rule changes everything under the hood.

this is like any sport it is all in how you read the rules and spend the money i hope there isnt to many changes i dont want to have to re design my trucks so i can race dont want to have to race 7s since no one is in it realy and i wouldnt be the only one probly that would have to do this not sure what kind of changes to 7 people want to do we want to move forward not backwards changing 7e like it was posted realyer would be like thaking 1 step forward and 2 back dont matter to me ill do whatever either sell everything or make it work that is your only choices just wish we actualy had rules that would last for more than a couple years gets expensive changing everything all the time

s class is unlimted so alum head is not the difference from 7. you can run v8, 6 cyl. you know unlimted. and 7e and 7 there are big modifications, from carb to rotating assembly. before we start quoting rules maybe we should reread the rule book. because someone might think you know what you are talking about.

Do you have to be a member to attend that fall meeting? I am not planning on joining untill I get my truck done, which will probaly be after the fall classic race in casey. I just got a truck 3 days ago and am starting to tear it down. Does anyone know who I need to contact for the rules? I cant find them anywhere.

Open 7s up to any truck, 2wd or 4x4. I have one, but it is a long way to come race by myself.

Post by Rooster Racing on Thu Jul 09, 2009 10:56 pm

dirtracer we do allow 4x4 just takes 3 to make a class. Bring them and they will race!!! lol

Here's my proposed rule changes for 2010
Delete class 7x
Reform class 7e back to an E class. STOCK carbureted 4 cyl with single barrel carb. NO cam changes, no porting, no polishing of head or intake, no crank changes, no removal of any material from inside engine other than a bore job to clean up cylinders. PUMP GAS ONLY!!! To simplify bed side changes allow bed skins instead of full bed. Allow 2 shocks per wheel but 1 must be in stock location. 2inch res. shock allowed. No coil overs no sliders. Stock track width no mods allowed. stock rear ends in stock location and set up. engine and body must be of same make. this is just quick thoughts ill add more later.
