I run a modified '85 toyota and the torsion bars have held up fine in the front, but i am using custom built front A arms with two 2.0 fox shocks on both front wheels and a custom four link rear suspension with torsion bars and fox shocks all around. It lands fine with no "hop" after the landing...the only problem that I am having is over heating issues, the 22r has a busted head right now, but i think we have that fixed, just put a larger aluminum radiator in the rear, hopefully that will fix the problem, but other than that the toyota is a strong running truck, you probably just have to tinker around to find out the best setup, remind you that I am running the 7s open class also...

Best thing to do is build it and try it. Thats what most of us have done and just about everyone runs a ranger.

i was thinking is the front suspension worth working with or not. can the control arms / tortion bars be beefed up enough to handle the stress and do they get enough travel. i know up here in ont that there used to be a few of them and 1 was pretty successful but nobodys around anymore from those days who can offer some advice.
