Re: Side by Side Racers

Well, is there anyone going to OH besides Tacoguy and myself? I am planning on showing up Friday evening. It is such a long drive for us that I thought I better get there Friday instead of Sat morning. I spoke to Jerry and he said the track should be a good track for SXS. Sounds like a really wide track.

Re: Side by Side Racers

Post by HawkEng on Mon May 25, 2009 1:50 pm

Ya, I was late getting my RZR ready SAT afternoon and the track message said it was cancelled until Sun. I contacted Andy and he said no one was there Sat and they were running the buggies??? What happened to cancelled until Sun? I was prepared to head up Sun, but he said nobody would probably be there. So, I decided not to drive 4 hours to find out nobody showed up. I sure thought more UTVs would start showing up.

I do think that the rules are too strong in everything but the stock class. You can go race a GNCC with just stock seat belts, helmet, and safety net. They have tons of guys showing up. This could be something that is keeping guys with other than stock coming.

Our enduros tracks will allow a 102" wide buggy thru so i doubt a sxs will have any issues.

I was hoping for a better turn out than you had last time! I went to a GNCC last fall and there was 80 racers! I plan to run both days. I am bringing my 10 year old who also has a stock RZR to race. She aint scared! Been racing motorcycles, so she knows to give it gas. No really, go easy on her. We plan to race Sunday too. What kind of helmets are required? Full face motox with goggles, or full face enclosed like stock car helmet?

Hawk,
weather and conditions permitting the enduro for the side by sides will be ran for 1 hour and 1 lap on a 3 mile course Sunday morning. If the weather and conditions warrant the course will be shortened as needed. The rules I'm assuming are for either driver only or with passenger. Check rules link below this post and contact one of them for more information.
