As a concerned motorized outdoor recreationist, I am writing to ask that you support the exemption of motorcycle and ATVs from the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008.

The dangers of lead to children cannot be ignored, but the normal use of motorcycles and ATVs pose no threat. Unnecessarily including this equipment under the Act will increase the amount of stress on not only the manufacturers, but local businesses across the nation. Debilitating these businesses further may cause irreparable damage in this challenging economy. The youth market is the foundation of our sport, and continuing to build and support that base is a top priority for OHV businesses and enthusiasts. With this in mind, please support an amendment of CPSC Act of 2008 to remove or exempt motorcycles and ATVs from the ban guidelines.

[b]please go to the prewriten letter and copy and paste to the consumer report website. Our goverment won't stop here. they have their foot in the door now . where will it stop ? I know we don't have classes to race motorcycles or atv's ,but this is not good for the racing comunity as a whole. and how many recreational riders will be affected.
